FAQs

What is the time commitment?

We have a pack meeting roughly once per month, and our Dens (grade level groups) would do the same. Activities run roughly concurrent with the school year and include 2 campouts, pinewood derby, and rocket launch.

What uniform(s) do I need to buy?

For Lions (kindergarten): The pack will provide you with a Lion’s t-shirt and a scout belt for loops. This is all that is standard uniform at the grade level.

For Tigers and up: The pack will provide you with a den neckerchief/slide appropriate to your year (Tigers for first grade, Wolves-2nd, Bear-3rd, Webelo-4th & 5th). Please purchase a class-A navy blue uniform shirt and a belt.

The little ones will be swimming in their uniforms, but we know how fast they grow!

Hats, class-A slacks or shorts are not required for purchase- most scouts wear jeans or school slacks.

My child has never been involved in scouts, is it too late to join?

Don’t worry, even kids who didn’t join at the youngest level can still join. We will welcome any interested families with children in grades K through 6.

Are there fundraising responsibilities?

Yes, we sell live Poinsettia plants each November. We ask each scout to commit to bringing in at least $50 of revenue. However, these plants are pretty easy to sell, and this is another opportunity to spend time with your sons or daughters.

I’ve heard girls are invited to be a part of Cub Scouts, can my daughter join?

Yes! We currently don’t have any girls as a member of our Pack, but we would be happy to set up a Den (grade-level group) of girls, if we have any that are interested in signing up. Please drop us a note here if you’re intersted.

Does my child need to be enrolled at St. Hubert School in order to be a member of Pack 330?

No, we welcome any child that would like to join our Pack. While there are Cub Scout Packs at many nearby elementary schools, we have a handful of neighbors, family friends, or other friends who participate in Pack 330, while not attending SHS.

I can’t find Pack 330 in the online tools?

Our Administrative pack number is Pack 3330, under Northern Star Council, but our casual Pack name is Pack 330. Please use Pack 3330 for registration and other tools supported by Scouts BSA administration.
